OFRW "Day at the Capitol," May 16, 2008
Friday, May 16, 2008 - The Oregon Federation of Republican Women held their "Day at the Capitol" with a number of County RW Clubs attending. Jeff Kropf, former Legislator, talk radio host and activist with Americans for Prosperity conducted a grassroots training session and presented information from AFP. During the luncheon Rep. Andy Olson, Rep. Bruce Hanna and Sen. Jackie Winters spoke and held a Q&A session. Mike Erickson, candidate for U.S. Congress, District 5, also spoke. A tour of the Capitol followed and then the group participated in an afternoon workshop. Rob Kremer, lobbyist for Charter Schools gave a talk on “How to Lobby and How to Testify” before legislative committees and; Kevin Mannix, experienced bill writer, presented “How to Write an Initiative.” After adjournment, pictures were taken on the Capitol steps.
