On Tuesday, May 27, 2014, Senator Betsy Close was the guest speaker at the Benton County Republican Women's General Meeting. Sen. Close was appointed to serve the remainder of Sen. Frank Morse's term and is now running to maintain her seat as State Senator for Oregon's Senate District 8. Sen. Close spoke on her experiences at Senator to date. She has been extremely consistent in voting against government expansion and for fiscal restraint.
